So . . . last night was special. First, I made the following confession to [livejournal.com profile] watcher_shadow:

catslash33: *searches for new Buddy Icon*
catslash33: *clicks on a category for baseball players* *finds eight thousand Derek Jeter icons* *eyes bleed*
catslash33: *is also reminded of the Yankeeslash bunny that bit her in the ass for the new contrelamontre challenge* DAMMIT. (. . . do you think they'll go away and leave me alone if I write it?)
charliebredwood: I dunno. Possibly?
catslash33: The sad thing is, I already intend to write it. The pairing has been bugging me since October, for heaven's sake. I never thought I'd write RPS, but never say never. Even though it appears in that sentence three times.
charliebredwood: /nods/
charliebredwood: But, you are :-)
catslash33: 'Pears so. I guess it makes sense, though. I mean, the reason I never wanted to write RPS is because I only ever would have wanted to write about people I like, and I would have been way too afraid (out of respect) of getting the "characters" wrong that I wouldn't have gotten past the first word. But I don't like any of the Yankees, so I kind of don't give a shit.
charliebredwood: /nodnod/
charliebredwood: Then why write about them? oO
catslash33: That is a fantastic question. I've been jokingly creating a big ol' behind the scenes gay soap opera for Jeter and A-Rod all season, and it sort of got a little too deep into my brain during the prolonged sleep deprivation marathon that was the ALCS, which in turn has quietly evolved until I find myself confronted with . . . Jeter and A-Rod muses. *headdesk* I hate my brain.

I shared this with [livejournal.com profile] _ashtray_girl, Anji, assuming that she, being a Yankee fan, would find the whole thing hilarious.

( Follow the fake cut! In which Anji is disturbed, Alex is in a family way, and even though Derek can afford any mascara he wants, he still buys Maybelline. )
