Okay! So today I called Lampron's, the place I worked last summer while I was staying at my mom's. The manager was totally stoked to hear from me, and the upshot is that starting week after this coming, I have a part-time position there! That means that I will be able to stay at my mom's this summer, have a job, make money, save money, and go to Portland this fall and be able to stay there while I look for work in town. Which will be so much easier for everyone in the world.
Hopefully, I'll be able to pick up closer to full-time hours, but dude, any hours are good. I complain not. Still not sure whether I'll be able to pull together all the cash I'll need in time to pay for that bridesmaid dress, but if I have at least part of it I'll surely be able to convince someone to loan me the rest.

And thanks for letting me know that you sent the invite, as Yahoo! oh-so-helpfully dumped it into my bulk mailbox, which I never check before emptying. I would have deleted it without realizing otherwise. =)
