Another retroactive fandom moment that occurred while I was watching Spider-Man:
Dr Strom: *explains that the, uh, soldier-making strength stuff (the only word I can think of for fictional scary substances right now is Re-Agent; DAMN YOU HERBERT WEST!) had a bad effect on a batch of lab rats, ultimately causing "aggression, homicidal tendencies, and insanity."
Usually this is the part where I ask when sanity tests for lab rats were developed, but time I had the following epiphany:
"Oh my god! *points at screen* YOU MADE BEN!!"

And I've never seen Willard. It looks very...scary.

As for Willard, it's not really scary. Well, it might be if you're afraid of rats. But mostly it's an interesting psychological study of this guy whose life sucks. And he happens to develop relationships with rats that are more complicated and intense than those with the humans he knows. It's fabulous movie in all aspects, and you should try it.
