OMG OMG Willem is going to be on The Daily Show tonight EEEEEEEEEEEE! In case you hadn't guessed: So excited.

Also, after months - well, okay, weeks - of seeing talk about Re-Animator as well as some cool-ass Re-Animator icons on some friends' journals, I gave in and rented it through Netflix, and watched it this morning. I was thoroughly entertained. It's funny and gory and unbelieveable, and half the time we're left to figure out the characters' reasons for the things they do all on our own, and it features the most jaw-droppingly bizarre supernatural sexual assault since Cheryl's unfortunate encounter with the trees in Evil Dead. If you get a chance to see this movie, do it.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go bump the sequel up a few notches in my Netflix queue. We have the third movie at Movie Gallery, so I haven't the foggiest idea why they felt the need to send that but not the first two, but oh well.

Whee! A new Re-Animator convert! (Herbert/Dan, you know it's there...)

Unfortunately, Bride of Re-Animator isn't quite as good, but it's still hella entertaining. And the slash content gets awfully overt... I mean, the concept of creating life without women is homoerotic enough, but Herbert and Dan are just... *sighs* And the design for the Bride is pretty cool.

I still haven't watched the third one, because Bruce Abbott (and, of course, David Gale) isn't in it and that's sad. But I will eventually.

And, yes, the "giving head" scene... hehehehe.

Well, yeah. In spite of the gore and tension of the situation at hand, I still totally melted when Herbert cuddled Dan and put a blanket over him. =D

Why have I never heard of this strange thing? And for the record, "jaw-droppingly bizarre supernatural sexual assault" was absolutely the END of the list of sentences I expected to read today..... nay, EVER.

This is a really cool article: http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0409/conaway.php

...this subject has been dominating our conversation in the house office for quite a while... Tara keeps us updated. "I can get married in this state, and this state, and this state..."
