Prepare for a seriously boring entry. I'm too distracted to get into anything much beyond the surface.

I love used bookstores. I picked up a hardcover copy of one of Janet Evanovitch's Stephanie Plum novels (if you haven't checked them out, do it - pure junk food, but so much damned fun) for two-fifty, and I found an old copy of "selected writings" by the Marquis de Sade, and talked the woman down to seventy-five cents. Yay! (Anji would be proud, if I could get hold of her to tell her.)

In other news: I have finally joined the rest of the civilised world. That's right - as of two days ago, I was officially the last person in America to finally, finally see Moulin Rouge. What a trip. I really enjoyed it; I'll be picking up the soundtrack tomorrow. Also, I treated Amanda to a screening of The Boondock Saints, and she's totally addicted. We're exchanging belated birthday presents tomorrow (mall trip!) and I'm getting her the DVD. She's going to get me either this doll of Norman Osborn or, if we can't find it, the MR soundtrack. (It's such fascinating minutiae that make online journals what they are.)
