Amazon thinks that I should buy the new full set of Indiana Jones DVDs because I have on my Wish List, among other things, Christianity, Social Tolerance, and Homosexuality.

. . .

I've never seen the Indiana Jones movies. Now I'm starting to wonder what I'm missing . . .

!!!!

Watch them. Or at least the first and last (I hate Temple of Doom, but I suppose for completeness...).

They're not really slashy, IMO (all possible pairings would squick me deeply), but they're fun! And and! It's like Star Wars. Or Kevin Smith movies. Or The Princess Bride.

They're cultural.

Agreed. The original is highly entertaining and Sean Connery really livens up Last Crusade but Temple of Doom sucks. The trilogy would probably be worth your money unless you can get the two good ones for cheaper than the box set. You don't really need to watch Temple to appreciate Crusade.

Chamber of Secrets comes on HBO tonight. It'll be my first time seeing it. I'm excited! (Yes, I am at least one year behind the rest of the country culturally.)

*finally gets around to catching up* Yes. They are. And if I hang on a bit longer, I can rent the DVDs for free. And for the record, my completist heart requires that I also watch Temple of Doom. And I see them all in order.

Agreement with the other two smart people. See Indy. See Indy dodge a boulder. See Indy teach horny college girls. See Indy drink. See Indy ride in a zeppelin. See Indy use a bullwhip.

Eh, what the hell. Just see Indy! Because, um, he's only the coolest character to ever grace a movie screen.

Harrison Ford = movie god. Slashing him with anyone would just be so, so wrong. You'll like the first and the last. I would say skip Temple of Doom, but the little Chinese boy is worth it.

You do realize that it's just become my goal in life to slash Harrison Ford?
