Torchwood!

BAHAHAHAHA.

That's pretty much all I got. I armed myself with vodka and watched the ep with [livejournal.com profile] sotto_voice, and frankly I am in no condition to pick it apart. All I can say for now is, that coda was fucking hilarious.

Also: they really have no intention of making a fourth series, do they?

Also also: FUCKING CANON.

That is all.

Oh noes! Clearly you will have to visit again to retrieve it. (And we can go somewhere that does not contain cats.)

I have to say--as RTD endings go, this was my very favorite.

I think I need to rewatch it tomorrow, solitary and sober, and do a proper reaction post. I can say that I was fascinated by the sociology of it all, as I always am, to the point of seeming callous.

I was just pleased that we got to see consequences, real consequences, for once in the history of RTD. And sure, melodrama and creepy social messages and whatnot ... but this was the most unflinching piece of work I've ever seen out of this series, and for Mr. Reset-the-Doctor, I salute that.

(And, see, I'm so used to Torchwood's enormous plotholes that I don't even think to include them in my list of troubles with this show. Goodness, I've been desensitized.)
