Christmas highlight gift that I never expected to get:
My very own "The angels have the phonebox" shirt. :D
Mom saw it on my thethingsiwant.com list and got it even though she has no idea what it means because she knew it would send me into paroxysms of geeky joy. I don't know which of us had more fun when I opened it.
So I put it right on and wore it to my grandmother's house, where it caused great confusion amongst my family until I explained, "It's a Doctor Who thing." Which solved it for everyone, because everyone's at least heard of Doctor Who, and everyone in my family knows I'm a geek.
My cousin Jessica, however, was further confused, and walked right into the joke so obvious it makes you wince when they use it on the show: "Wait, Doctor who?"
She's really much brighter than that, I swear. She did figure it out when we all started laughing, but that doesn't mean she'll live it down any time soon.
