It is my birthday and I am twenty-three on the twenty-third. For my golden birthday I got oral surgery, time with the grandparents, a lovely Sunday with my mom, the first season of Lois and Clark, and A SHINY NEW COMPAQ LAPTOP.

I mean, I have to pay Mom back for the laptop, obviously, as it's not what emergency credit cards are for, but I got it and it's mine and I AM BACK JUST IN TIME FOR MY BIRTHDAY.

Man. Twenty-two days is a LONG TIME to be without a computer. I had to do weird shit to entertain myself. I had to read books! And watch movies! And talk on the phone!

Uh. I may be slightly too dependent on the Internets.

Using Windows after getting so accustomed to Apple is weird. I don't like it, but then I never did. In some distant future when I have that mystical thing called "disposable income," I will probably go back to Macintosh, but Macs are too damn expensive to maintain. So, a PC it is, and a shiny one at that. And, oh yeah, a two-year standard plan with Circuit City. I had a one-year warranty with Apple, and the goddamn thing broke at thirteen months.

Anyway, I'm a bit too scattered for a particularly substantial entry right now, but I wanted to check in and letcha all know that I AM BACK. And it is my birthday. So, you know, feel free to throw icons or porn my way if you so choose. Or mp3's, because I have a collection to rebuild. *sigh*

Pettitte/Clemens, please. ♥ I know, Roger's not technically an Astro for the moment, but he followed Andy to Houston and I will never get over how cute that is.

Thanks!

Yes. =D I've always said that if L&C ever came out on DVD - and I can't believe it took so long! - I'd get seasons one and two and I'd be all set. Season three wasn't worth the money, and season four was so flat-out dreadful that I used to turn on the TV and then just sit and read for the entire episode. The first season was my absolute favorite (and in the Battle of the Jimmies, Michael Landes wins hands down; I still haven't quite forgiven Whalen for replacing him), and the second season was good too and also contains the hotness that was Dan Scardino. I was like thirteen, so I don't know if he'll still be hot now that I'm twenty-twothree, but there will be the nostalgia anyway.

I dunno. I kinda like season three. I kinda like the whole dealing with both sides of Clark/Superman.

Season four got silly with all of the different ways they tried to keep them from the altar (although, I must admit, Dean in the black outfit with blue "S" on his chest....oh my god, I almost fainted). Season five went downhill just as rapidly.

I can almost forgive it, though, for the eye candy that is Dean Cain. And I'm one of those people who, once I get one season, I have to get all season for continuity.

Who knows? Maybe I'll start coming out with Lois & Clark fanfics again!

Happy (belated) birthday! In lieu of a real present, I'm happy to upload some mp3s for you -- what artists?

Actually, what I'd like is a selection of your favorites. I have LimeWire, so any particular song I want I can go get myself, but recommendations are a great way to try stuff I never would have thought of or possibly known about otherwise. No need to go crazy with eight billion songs or anything (unless you want to); just pick some really good ones.

LORD! Forgive my lateness, but I was only awake for 5 hours yesterday.

*deep breath* BON ANNIVERSAIRE! BON ANNIVERSAIRE! BON ANNIVERSAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIRE ~~~~~~ BON ANNIVERSAIRE!!

I will not mail you a cake... because that might not be appreciated. But I wish you a birthday of a happiness that surpasses oral surgery, even. HUZZAH!!

Thanks! Yeah, pastry doesn't ship well; "it's the thought that counts" doesn't count for much when the package dissolves all over the angry mailperson.

I like your icon. =D
