You know how chick flicks suck because they're stupid and insulting and the women are ditzy vapid stereotypes at best and it's all about OMGFINDAMANORDIE?

I found a good chick flick. In Her Shoes is intelligent and thoughtful with very three-dimensional women, two sisters, who go through believeable changes and only one of them finds a man because the movie is about the love (and hate) of sisters and of family, not about men. Go see it. But bring tissues. I'm not kidding. That's okay, though, because you'll laugh and smile as much as you cry, occasionally all at once.

(Also, Brokeback Mountain is indeed coming to our little artsy cinema. YAY.)

I thought Big Fish was really chick-flicky and that was far from FINDAMANORDIE (which is a totally accurate description, btw)

Heh, maybe that's why I primarily remember it being kind of boring.

I really do want to see that-I enjoyed the book, and have only heard good things about the movie. :)

It's been a while since I read the book, but I don't remember enjoying it nearly as much as I enjoyed the movie. =D

According to the marquee, "Soon." So, I have no idea. But the poster is up, and that is good enough to get me excited.

I was just looking up info for Brokedown Mountain, its release date is December 9th. So, depending on your theatre, it should be around then. :)
