Reasons Why Phil Garner And I Would Get Along, Part II:

"He's much more low-key," Garner said of Oswalt. "If he had blood on his sock, you'd never know it. He'd cover it up."

HAHAHAHA. Oh, c'mon. That's funny. Plus, he went on to say, "Schilling feeds on notoriety and great pitchers do. There are also great pitchers who are very low-key. That's the way Roy is. Schilling thrives off the moment, the notoriety, the attention. Roy just shies away from it. That's all," so it's all good.

WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT CALL? DID YOU SEE IT? WHAT WAS IT? I'M SO CONFUSED!

Did you see Oswalt fall? OH ANOTHER K!

I love this game.

The call was like a balk but not really but it was Ball 4 but a balk but I was so goddamned confused with it.

It kinda shook up Oswalt for a bit I guess because that was the inning he let up 2 runs, but after that he just kept striking guys out. It was amazing.

And then the fall... he started going into his pitch and I guess just tripped over his foot? I don't know, but then he got back up and threw a third strike.

Oh, Roy Oswalt. I love him. I love all the 'Stros starters. Yes, even Roger Clemens. It took me all year, but I summoned up the Roger Clemens love, because I feel that one must one love one's boys. Unless they go around trashing your other boys. Then they can choke and die IVAN RODRIGUEZ.

Ugh, what didn't he? The thing I was referring to was an interview in which he declared himself "a winner" - no, really, that's what he said - and said he didn't know why the Tigers were sucking so bad, and he didn't know about the other guys and what was going on there. So, basically, he called them all losers and anointed himself and his freaking .293 OBP the best thing to happen to the Tigers since Ty Cobb. Man, it's one thing to do the "we suck right now" thing (especially when it's true), and quite another to pull that garbage. He used to be one of my favorites. Now I hate him. My icon is of our backup catcher, Vance Wilson, who is awesome and doesn't talk shit and does crazy things like prepare for games. Which Rodriguez apparently does not bother with. HAAAAATE.
