I've been waiting all day to get home so I could turn on the news and find out what's going on with Katrina. Now I'm home and I don't want to. I almost feel bad for being safe up here in Maine when people's lives are being destroyed or just taken not so far away.

Thinking a little ahead: If you are able to donate blood, please look into doing so. I have a feeling they're going to need it.
