So I am confirmed to be moving on Sunday, and not a second too soon, because Psycho Bitch Roommate? HAS GONE CRAZY.

She's doing things in the kitchen, and every time I go in there, she stops, and she stares. She just - stands there. And stares. Sometimes she retreats into a corner and stares. It's kind of like a predator preparing to defend its territory and it is intensely creepy. So, if I never post again, it is because she slit my throat while I slept. I think I'll lock my door.

I cannot wait to get out of here.

Edited because AUGH. I just went out to slice up a frozen pizza, and I asked her if the rest of it would be in her way if I left it on the stove. She stood there and stared like I hadn't even spoken. She is not well.

You know how sometimes you read a book that is so good, when you're done with it you want to run up to the nearest person, put it in their hands, and insist that they read it? Found one!

It's called Monkeewrench, by PJ Tracy (who is actually a mother/daughter writing team). It's about a series of murders mimicking a computer game where you play detective and track a serial killer. I don't read a lot of murder mysteries, mostly because the plots don't catch my attention very often, but I'm glad I tried this one. It's really well written, with a ton of stuff going on but not getting you lost, and good distinctive characters. I was reading it at the laundromat today and I could not stay entirely quiet doing so.

I sadly cannot actually put it in your hands, but Amazon's got some wicked cheap used copies for sale, so spend four bucks and give it a try. It's the first in a series, too, so there's more once you're done (one other book, which I am going to start shortly, and a third is coming out in April that sounds dynamite, and I can't remember the last time I used that word in a sentence).

Okay, I have to go do moving crap, and I sort of lost track of details like calling Time Warner to get my Internet service moved, so once I've moved tomorrow I may be gone for a couple days. Then again, I might not, since there's a stray wireless connection wandering through this apartment. I'm only moving upstairs, so I might be able to hijack it from there, too. We'll see.
