You know how chick flicks suck because they're stupid and insulting and the women are ditzy vapid stereotypes at best and it's all about OMGFINDAMANORDIE?
I found a good chick flick. In Her Shoes is intelligent and thoughtful with very three-dimensional women, two sisters, who go through believeable changes and only one of them finds a man because the movie is about the love (and hate) of sisters and of family, not about men. Go see it. But bring tissues. I'm not kidding. That's okay, though, because you'll laugh and smile as much as you cry, occasionally all at once.
(Also, Brokeback Mountain is indeed coming to our little artsy cinema. YAY.)
