Dear NESN,

I like to watch Lord of the Rings in widescreen. I like to watch Shaun of the Dead in widescreen. I even like to watch I [heart] Huckabees in widescreen.

However, I do not like to watch baseball in widescreen. Why? Because I cannot read the scorebar thingy at the top of the screen, because the flashback clips look hilariously distorted when they get squished to fit widescreen, and BECAUSE IT IS BASEBALL.

Thank you,
Cathryn

Eep. Hey, Craiggers? 'Sawright?

Please just let it be a Millar-style cramp.

Game tied thus far at three.

While I'm posting, here's other news so that this totally doesn't count as logging: Tampa Bay once again squishing the Yankees, 8-2 in the fifth. Sean Henn, the poor victim from AA Trenton brought in to replace Randy Johnson for tonight, lasted a whole 3.1 innings. Whee! A conspiracy theorist who recalled RJ's last start against Tampa Bay might suggest that the "injury" is a load of crap designed to keep him from getting embarrassed by the D-Rays again. Good thng I'm not a conspiracy theorist.

And the Astros lead the Pirates thus far, 3-0 in the third, with Roger Clemens pitching for the 'Stros. Have read some interesting speculation regarding Clemens's future with the Astros; 'tis the author's opinion that his contract is a tremendous drain on the Astros' resources, and that Clemens will end up traded to the Red Sox or the Yankees by the July 31 deadline. Very interesting indeed. And since the Sox are kind of drowning in starters (or will be once everything's on track), and the Yankees seem to be totally fucked for pitching, I'd think the Yanks would be more likely to pick Clemens back up. Just my idle two cents.

Edit: OH NO FARNS. STOP SCARING ME JERRY. Jerry just pointed out that TEH FARNS appeared to be in pain after his last out, and then got whisked into the clubhouse. Uh. Cramp? Please?

Well, it's certainly always exciting these days when Foulke hits the mound. I know I woke right up. But I guess tonight he didn't feel like giving up any homers, so the Sox win 4-3.

Tomorrow: Day game. I need to find a blank tape. Arroyo's starting, and I want him to get the win, so go Sox! Good thing, too, this whole being-pulled-in-both-ways thing is messing with my brain wicked.

It's been such a pleasure to get to watch my Tigs, though. Gonna have to look into that MLBTV thing. Would like to watch a Tigers game where I can root for them wholeheartedly.
