So if an inning for a pitcher is measured in outs, and a starter is pulled in the first before he gets an out, how is the game scored for his record? Hendrickson didn't even pitch a third of an inning.

Ooo, Dewon Brazelton is in. IT IS ON.

I'm not 100% sure, but I would guess that he pitched 0 innings, and all's you'd record is the hits, runs and batters faced. *shrug* Seems to be the best way to answer it, I think.

So this is how a pitcher's ERA is determined for the year(I think): (runs x number of innings) / 9. I would think that that you'd just add the number of runs he gave up without adding any innings.

which makes his ERA astronimically high for that game. hee hee.
