Okay. I did not just see - well, mostly hear - a McDonald's commercial using a black couple to advertise a new drink called a MULATTE.

That's supercreepy, McD's, and if I hadn't more or less boycotted your crap already (or boycotted the fries, at least, and nothing else on the menu makes sense without the fries), then I would right now. As it is, this has cemented me desire to never step inside one of your stores ever again. PS, I am properly ashamed that I ever worked at one.

Edit: I have been informed by [livejournal.com profile] j_crew_guy that it's Dairy Queen and spelled "moolatte." My basic point still stands. It is still creepy. And I am still ashamed I worked at McDonald's.

Yeah, I KNOW.

Fortunately, avoiding Dairy Queen is fairly easy around here. Not so much with McDonald's. But their use of "Fruit Buzz" makes it easier.

Seriously. WTF is a "fruit buzz?" What does that even mean? The salad itself sounds enticing, and I might be inclined to try it, but that terrible ad campaign has driven me away.

I have no idea what a "fruit buzz" is. The way the ad campaign makes it sound/look, it's akin to hallucinating in some way. Which... not what I'm looking for in a salad.
