Excellent. Boomer has clearly decided that giving up a bazillion runs in the first five minutes of the game is not the way to go. This is good to see, especially where my blood pressure is concerned.

Next step: Eliminating that whole "one painful inning lumped in with a bunch of good/great ones" thing. Seriously. He's a good pitcher, he's shown us what he can do, he just needs to do it consistently.

Seriously. It's not like four runs is an insurmountable obstacle, for heaven's sake. Sometimes watching a Sox game is like watching Clemens start for the Astros this season: He gives up so much as a run, and you know instantly that the game is screwed.

On the other hand, at least with the Sox sometimes you're wrong. =D
