There, you see, Red Sox? It is possible to leave the bases loaded twice and win anyway. The Tigers did it. Admittedly, they did it against the Devil Rays, but they did it. So squandering a billion loaded bases is no longer an excuse to lose.

3-4! Go Tigers!

Edited because Astros win their second consecutive shutout, 3-0! That's their third win in a row after a four-game losing streak. Gosh, now they're only eight games under .500! I didn't catch this game because Tigers, but I'll be watching tomorrow because Pettitte is pitching.

Wow, Bronson's taking his suspension and not pitching again till next Wednesday. That's too bad, because he looked really hot in the interview clip that's a long stretch between starts. And also I will miss him. Oh, well, it'll be fine.

Anyone know anything new about who's starting for the Sox tomorrow? Last I heard it was sounding pretty good for Wells, which yay, but I can't seem to find anything more about it.

Yahoo is reporting Wells as the probable starter: The Red Sox wouldn't announce Wells as the starter, apparently as a precaution in case he has a setback in the morning. But his schedule has been set up for the slot, and he was listed as the starter -- with a question mark -- on a calendar in manager Terry Francona's office at Fenway Park.
