A few random observations.
* HAHAHA Steinbrenner's horse, Bellamy Road, finished SEVENTH. It's time to duck, you guys, because Mount Steinbrenner is going to BLOW. (Go A's! Don't let yesterday discourage you!)
* The Tigers won! The score was 2-1, so obviously I missed another incredible game from a favorite pitcher, since Bonderman pitched last night. That makes his record 5-2, by the way. What a pitcher he is, and just getting started. He's going to be really fucking amazing one day.
* Got a chance to catch most of the Astros/Braves game on TBS last night. SO MUCH BUNTING. And ugh, TBS was carrying the Braves feed, so I had to listen to their obnoxious crap. At least, I did when I wasn't being put to sleep by the fact that the announcers clearly thought they were announcing golf. I have never heard so little excitement during a baseball game. That goes for the crowd, too. Where's the cheering? Where's the gear for your team? Why are you just talking quietly amongst yourselves? You do know you're at the game, right?
Oh, and now I know why the Astros lose so much: They suck. Yeah, it's not fair to judge on one game, but the offense was all, "What do we do with this wooden thing again?" and the defense was like, "Wait, are we supposed to catch that little white thing when it flies toward us?" And that's a shame, because Andy Pettitte - YES I GOT TO WATCH MY ANDY PETTITTE PITCH - threw a decent game (three runs in seven innings) and his team pretty much crapped all over it. Final score: 4-1, with the Astros threatening just enough in the ninth to really piss me off when they lost. Sorry,
hoedogg, but I don't think I like your Braves.
Wish I could have watched the Tigers game instead. Except that that started at ten and no friggin' way, I barely made it till nine-thirty to finish the Astros game.
Really, really going to have to look into this MLBTV thing. Didn't like watching my Astros lose, but I still liked watching 'em, and I need to be able to see more of my Tigers.

A couple different people have mentioned the Farns today and I've been out of touch all day; he do anything especially exciting or is it all strictly in game context? Why do I have the feeling that this isn't the last time I'll be confused?
