In celebration of the shut-out, and the fact that I found a picture I liked, I finally got around to making that Wells icon I've been whinging about needing for like a month now. This brings me up to my icon limit, and I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do when I need a new one. How in hell I ever managed with just three spots is beyond me.
So I'm a happy little sports fan. All I need now is for my other teams to quit losing by one lousy run. Tigers? Astros? THIS MEANS YOU. A one-run loss, while better than getting flattened, is still just depressing.
Edit: And the Tigers have obligingly won their game today, 7-1. Heh, with four of those runs in the ninth inning. Would have liked to see the pitching from that closer. (Incidentally, since this post is concerned primarily with pitchers I love: Jeremy Bonderman. I mean, yeah, his two wins are against the Royals, but he's still off to a great start for the season. I'll be keeping an eye on him this year. Which just reminds me of how badly I want to be able to watch Tigers games. Sigh.)

To be completely honest, the Tigers should at least be .500. 4-7 makes baby Jeebus weep.

THANK FUCKING GOD. I probably should've watched :P I was ready to call it a season :P

Well we play Boston in May; you'll be seeing us up-close-and-personal -- especially when we sweep ;D *cocky* *remembers my team is 4-7 and is deflated*

I KNOW I AM SO EXCITED. No matter who wins, I'll be happy. And sad! So much emotion, so few games. Or something. Although there is a very real concern that I might spontaneously combust from the combined catcher hotness.
4-7 is no fun, but it's not like the Sox are superawesome right now either. The season is two weeks old. Both teams will get it together. Especially once health returns and everyone quits it with the bum shoulders and the ulcers and stuff.

If we lose, I may incur the wrath of the BoSox fans on my f!list ;D

Lol, Varitek does nothing for me, so I'll be hoping we get Wakefield in that series so I can gaze lovingly at Mirabelli ;D

You're right about that. I just expected so much more from the first week and a half, two weeks of the season :/ Damn hernias.
Also: WRITE TIGERS SLASH.
That is all! :D

Which ones? Magglio's, or the ones our teams are giving us?
Also: WRITE TIGERS SLASH.
Aw, I wanna. But I haven't had nearly enough exposure. *pouts*

God. Everything? I just need enough time with the team to feel that I at least have a strong enough handle on the guys to write convincing fake versions of them. Trying to write Tigers fic right now would be like trying to write fic for a movie I watched once while I was on the phone. Maybe later in the season, if I keep close enough track off the field and can get that MLBTV subscription to watch games. For now, though, all I can do is stew and be sad and content myself with writing some more Yankeeslash and doing something more with Red Sox stuff.

Yes. That's why I had to make this icon.
