catslash: (long day)

Yay I was in a car accident. =D

I mean, it barely qualifies as one. No one was hurt and both cars were barely damaged - we were rearended, but Betsey's bumper was metal and the other guy's plastic, so it was really no contest. But still. Car accident.

And the shot of adrenaline has assured that I will get even less sleep than I thought I would for work tomorrow. It was quite a shock - one minute the four of us are talking about how Orlando Bloom is definitely gay, and then WHAM and scream. And now my dinner wants to come back up, but I'm thinking that will pass. In fact, I am determined it will pass, for it was a good dinner and I would like to hold on to it.

I went over to Betsey's and hung out with her and her family and a couple of her friends from college while we all made dinner together. There was sugarcane, too, which was cool. Also, I was introduced to a British band called Dragonforce, which does speed metal songs about medieval warfare. I see much downloading in my immediate future, because the songs were excellent.

So - a new place to live, sugarcane, music of a very specialized niche, visiting with a friend, and a minor car accident. What a day.

Yikes...glad to hear you and your friends are okay. Car accidents are quite scary. :( I got in one two days before Game 3 of the ALCS. Now I'm paranoid of cars behind me...but it'll pass. You may feel it in the morning however just to warn ya.

I could make your day a little better...just hafta look at my LJ entry...if Bronson Arroyo and Lenny DiNardo do anything for ya :)

Merfle! I'm glad your all right! What did you eat for dinner that was so good? Currently I'm fasting for Lent (...wait, it's midnight! I can go downstairs and pig out!) ... so I'm in the mood to hear what other people are eating, lmao. Anyway, glad that you're all right ... *and goes down to the above link to lookie at "Brandon" / Bronson pictures*

No, thank Inari no injuries, but OH THE PSYCHOLOGICAL DAMAGE!!! I have a psychosematic pain in the neck and Petroff was forced to dream of eviscerated growling bodies (most likely as penace for centering his potential last thoughts on the lameness of Orlando-oogling instead of Krishna, where they belonged.) Anyways...

Thanks for coming and feasting with us, mon chat. It was marvelous to see you. YES DEAR GOD JOIN THE OBSESSIVE RANKS OF DRAGONFORCE and you should also check out Man-O-War, as they are just as British but older and probably hairier.
