Sure, I'll post more often. *sigh* Well, I haven't been to the library in over a week.
Damn, but that Red Sox/Yankees series was entertaining. Sloppy and rather poorly played by both teams, with an absolutely classic surprise win from my boys to steal the series. I really thought they were going to split it, too, so obviously I was giving the Yankees more credit than they currently deserve. Also, I spent half the series on the phone with
manderspander, making fun of a certain couple off to a tragically awful start.
Dear A-Rod and Jeter,
Look, we all know you guys are thrilled that you know get to spend every waking moment together, but maybe you should stop spending them doodling little hearts that say "AR+DJ=4EVA!" and use some of them to, I don't know, practice what you're being paid millions of dollars to do? Here's a little tip to help you get started: You're playing BASEBALL. Not that I'm not having a blast making fun of you guys, but even I'm starting to get embarrassed for you.
Love Cordial hate,

On another topic, here's an interesting idea on how to make Kill Bill consistently entertaining, rather than sporadically so:
CUT IT ALL INTO ONE TWO-AND-A-HALF-HOUR MOVIE, GODDAMMIT.
Man, talk about what should have been.
In conclusion, thanks for the note, Hoedogg. I've been wondering where you got off to. =D

I dunno about Vol. 2, but Vol. 1 of Kill Bill would have been more enjoyable had I restrained myself from saying, "...?! Where the hell did she get the motorcycle from? And how can she afford two plane tickets like that? Arrgh!"
Maybe I'm just mistaking lack of continuity for creative freedom.

Not that I want them to get back into tip-top condition or anything, just, you know, start holding the bat at the right end or something.
As for Kill Bill continuity: Don't do that to yourself. I started wondering about how she managed to sit in the hospital parking garage for thirteen hours without someone coming to check on the vehicle of the injured guy whose keys had been stolen, and then I realized that I'd best stop it or the entire movie would fall apart. (Though I did wonder how she got that sword to Tokyo on a plane.)

My anti-war non-rant is here http://www.fictionpress.com/read.php?storyid=1581500 if you're interested. So far reaction has ranged from complete boredom and failure to get the point (see Brave Little Toaster's review) to several "very nice"s. Feel free to join the fray.
Don't know if you caught it, but Monday night's Everwood was the first blissfully Madison-free episode in ages, and the show definitely shows signs of not sucking anymore now that she's gone. Plus the HoYay between Bright and Ephram has grown massive, although Patch and Treat are currently having a lover's quarrel and are not speaking. You might want to check out the EasyView on Sunday if you're still willing to give the show another shot.
Also BTW, I highly recommend that you at least rent the Freaks & Geeks DVD series. It remains one of the greatest TV shows I have ever seen (and it only lasted 18 episodes so it won't eat up too much of your time). I wouldn't have shelled out $120 of my own hard-earned bucks on the special-edition set if I didn't honestly feel that way.
Peace
~Hoedogg
