*dies* I have been away from the Internet for a WEEK. On the way home from the library last Saturday, I crashed hard on my bike when I braked on a steep hill trying to avoid the little doggies I saw down there. I skidded on all the winter sand and just never had a chance. Mostly, I'm okay - actually, I'm amazingly okay, since a bunch of little chancy things happened that kept it from being worse - but I just shredded my right knee, which has limited my mobility and I haven't been up for making the mile or so hike to the library till today. Sigh.

I'd post about other stuff, but I have quite a bit of catching up to do, so I gotta keep this short.

Awww, Cathryn! -hugs tight- I did the same thing when I was about eight years old. Only, instead of shredding my knee, it was my face. I wondered why Mom screamed so loud when I came in the house sniffling. Heh. I'm a klutz. Hope you feel better, at any rate.

My Bosox cap saved my face, dude, 'cos I definitely landed on my forehead and skidded along for a bit. The cap got smushed down over my face instead flying off my head. It is officially my Lucky Charm.

I bought that cap because I wanted Bosox merchandise. Otherwise I wouldn't even wear a baseball cap.

Can you imagine what I might look like right now if it weren't for the Red Sox?

You got lucky, dude. Very lucky.

And now I must begin my campaign to get you down here to Baltimore for Otakon. July 30-August 1. Carolyn is coming! You have to come too. I'm already asking for those days off work so I can spend the three days downtown with her and if you came it would just be that much better. So...come onnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

ooo. I totally want to, but it's just too early for me to commit. It really depends on how my Plans For Jumpstarting My Life Already work out. And also on exactly when my friend's wedding is and whether the date ends up changing. Y'know. Stuff.

But I'm not putting you off, 'cos I totally want to and I'll even spend a hundred years on a Greyhound bus to do it, and if I can manage it, I will.

Oh yes. I know it's early. -grin- I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to come.
