Hey, guys? I need a new blanket for my bed, and I don't really know where the fuck to shop for things I like. My current blanket falls in the "delightfully fug quilt" category, and I want another that falls into a similar category. I do not want to pay a zillion dollars for it, and I don't want to sift through a bunch of vomitously cutesy quilts that trick me into thinking the plainer ones are delightfully fug when they're really kind of unremarkable.

I will also go for comforters, if plaid is involved. Or something outrageously ugly that in no way involves flowers. I like my bedding to be interesting.

And I do just about everything sitting on my bed, so darker designs that will help camouflage smaller stains are good.

Help?

(Also: Firefox thinks "fug" is a word - which, admittedly, it is. Just a really old-fashioned one. However, Firefox does not feel the same about words such as "draught" or "teleport." I love many things about you, Firefox, but your dictionary is not one of them.)

I've bought most of my bedding at Target. It looks like their comforters run about $50 and up, probably depending on threadcount, detailing and brand name. You can get a bedding set for about $100, it looks like.

There's also Sears, IKEA, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Overstock.com, to get your started.

Thinkgeek.com have an amazing blanket that says "blanket" in binary all over it. It's thick fleece and is the warmest thing in our house.

Ass. Just went to the site to check and it is both $40 and out of stock. Sorry x

I got mine at Walmart >.> As I recall there was plaid there, but it's been a while. I'd check stores like Walmart and Target, personally, since they're the cheapest and generally have a fairly wide variety.

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for but I've found great not too complicated or weird things at The Company Store and Land's End.

Target and Walmart sometimes have sales in the winter for bedding, and even if it's not on sale, it's still usually cheap & durable.
