Ways in which computer/internet technology has progressed: I am no longer required to download a separate file in order to view Chinese or Japanese characters. No more rows of empty squares and question marks!
. . . admittedly, I cannot read Chinese or Japanese, so the characters make about as much sense to me as the empty squares and question marks did, but THAT IS NOT THE POINT.
