Date: 2008-03-01 02:13 am (UTC)I was ruminating today at work on a last name for our Sheriff, and I thought, "Maybe I should make it Ford. That would be mildly amusing, in a 'Bill Williams' sort of way."
My thought process was interrupted by the phone ringing. I took a long, complicated order which was capped off by the customer telling me,
"And the name on that is Ford."
Is that a flashing neon sign or what? Buford Ford it is. His last name will pretty much never come up aside from the initial introduction, so it'll mostly be a silly throwaway bit anyway.
