I totally just jinxed the shit outta Kendall, didn't I? And why did I know the A's catcher's name without having to look it up, anyway?

I always feel so bad for Melhuse (the backup catcher) because he's gotten like NO playing time over the past couple of years since Kendall joined the A's. Kendall gets cranky when he sits, I hear, so he doesn't do it often, and when he does, the A's have got to get Melhuse behind the plate because otherwise he's a catcher in name only, lol. Still, I'm inclined to think Piazza will get to catch in a couple games this year, during interleague maybe? Depending on how Dan Johnson comes back hitting, they might want his bat, but not be able to stick him at first. If not entire games, maybe during one of these extra inning games the A's like to play.
