George Allen has conceded in Virginia. The Senate is now officially ours.
The House, and the Senate, and a female Speaker of the House.
All I really have to say is that last night, for the first time in many years - and also under the influence, but still - I sang the national anthem with complete sincerity. And I don't mind admitting it.
Here's to the first step down the road of getting our shit back together.
