After the game ended I switched over to see what was on FSN, and they were in the locker room... they couldn't manage to interview ANYONE because no more than two minutes into trying to do so, somebody else would come along and pour something (champagne, beer, ice water, whatever) over the head of whoever they were trying to talk to. It was awesome and I was afraid I was going to wake my girlfriend up from giggling too loudly. <3
Vance was climbing on Brandon. Verlander and Miner were nailing everyone with champagne. Mikey was all up in Bondo's personal space and being very hovery. Maggs looked like a drowned poodle. Hee hee hee. Someone better YouTube this.
Yeah, I saw that, and I was confused-how are they definitely in the playoffs, when Minnesota hasn't officially been eliminated from first place in the division yet (and obviously from the Wild Card, either)?
The wild card race is down to just Minnesota and Chicago now, and Chicago has been mathematically eliminated from the division race. They can't possibly finish with a better record than the Tigers, so the Tigers are guaranteed at least second place in the division, and with no other wild card contenders remaining, that's enough to get them in.
Okay, that makes sense-because I was combing the (MLB) article, and it made no mention of their actually taking the AL Central, and I see Minn hasn't been eliminated from that, either!
