Aaaand Jim Leyland is the new manager for the Tigers.

Thrift, thrift, Horatio! the funeral baked meats
Did coldly furnish forth the marriage tables.

Or, for the less Shakespearean among us: Wham bam thank you Tram.

Yeesh.

I would also like to add that at one point, the Red Sox radio announcers spent a good five minutes talking about this rather than have to deal with the batting practice game. Heh.

Sigh. Poor Tram. Poor, poor Tram. Chalk it up to another Pudge casualty.

What'd Joe and Trup have to say about Leyland?

I don't know much, it was hard to listen while dealing with customers, but they were definitely of the opinion that Leyland, who had no problem smacking Barry Bonds down, will be able to handle Mr I'm A Winnar. =D

I don't know too much about him... just that I'm pretty sure he's the only manager in baseball to have a lifetime record under .500 and still have a World Series ring. Which doesn't bode particularly well, but who knows.

WTF, Matt Clement?? Are you the real one or a defective clone?

:-( Like I said in my LJ, all the wrong teams won today. (fucking Cardinals.)

I have to admit Jim Leyland rubs me the wrong way for some reason. I hope this doesn't continue as I want to keep liking the Tigers...

People who quote Hamlet to communicate a point about baseball WIN AT LIFE.

Yay! *treasures it* I was such a Hamlet geek for a while. I should dig up my copy and read it again.
