. . . why are the Tigers wearing weird uniforms tonight?

Edit: Never mind, Rod and Mario explained it. I didn't notice, but the Indians' uniforms are different too; the teams are wearing the uniforms of their teams in the Negro League. Which is a very cool gesture, and I must research this further, and it seems like one of those things everyone knows about. Is it a league-wide thing? The Red Sox and Twins don't look any different to me. To Google I go!

Edited again because, thoughtful gesture or no, damn those uniforms are stupid-looking. I especially like those useless little white hats.

i think they're kinda cool, 'cause of the high socks.

the tigers have been doing this for a while. while most teams only do a negro league day, the tigers do a whole weekend, which is why i like it. it's pretty cool.

Okay, the high socks win, but the hats are dumb and the jersey design annoys me. Those are just purely aesthetic objections, though. *g*
