Okay, someone needs to tell me that I am not allowed to write a fic wherein, during the Tigers/Yankees series that starts today (oh fuck, Wells is starting today too, what am I gonna do, but I digress), there is a zombie explosion, certain of the players survive and escape the resulting carnage at Yankee Stadium, and they make the logical decision to go up to Boston and see who survived there and something something I don't know but TELL ME I AM NOT ALLOWED TO WRITE IT BECAUSE I WOULD NEVER FINISH IT.

In other news, sorry to [livejournal.com profile] hoedogg and [livejournal.com profile] watcher_shadow for disappearing last night. The wind was wicked bad and it blew out the cable for a while, and since I have a cable modem, I was disconnected. Which is just as well for me, as I read Perfect I'm Not for a while and got to bed at a reasonable hour, but sorry.

So. What happens when tonight's Tigers/Yankees game is interrupted by a little supernatural violence in the stands? Well, it goes a little something like this. I blame that goddamn zombie meme.

It gets no title, because that would imply that I intend to finish it or something, but I'll give it an R for violence and language, and as far as a disclaimer goes, I fucking hope to god that it's all the product of my twisted and bored imagination.

Why do something useful with a day off when I can spend it writing baseball zombie fic? )

Yeah, I know, terrible place to stop, but that's probably about as far as it's going to get. Although, I will need something to do when I go to the laundromat this week . . .

By the way, why is is suddenly so damn hard to write in the past tense all of a sudden? I used to do it ALL THE TIME, you'd think I could switch back. I guess my brain has decided that that baseball fic = present tense and is going to resist being conditioned otherwise as hard as it can.

How is it that I did not know about Amber and her painting showing up during spring training? I freaking loved Trot being all "ROBBIIIIEEEEE" into the camera. You rule, Trotter! =D

Yes, I am watching Rob and Amber Get Married. Shut up. It sure is providing a nice distraction from the current goings-on in baseball. Yecch.

It did make me miss the exchange of plunkings during the Tigers/Yankees game, though. I'm all for anything that involves A-Rod getting hit, plus the MLB play-by-play is telling me that Quantrill got ejected for hitting Jason Smith, and then Torre got ejected. I am deeply sad that I missed all this. (I did, however, see Marcus Thames turn right around and get a three-run homer, because that's what happens when you mess with a Tiger, BITCH.) I'll have to drag up the archive tomorrow so I can check out A-Rod's plunking and try to decide (without YES's help, thanks, I hate the YES feed) whether it was deliberate. I kind of doubt it. Anyone actually see it to fill me in?

Either way, it'll certainly add something interesting to the rest of the series. I'm always up for a series-ending brawl, myself.

Oh, and I think it goes without saying that I will not be writing fic about games that have not happened yet EVER AGAIN. Because both games mentioned? My teams lost. I especially love how, zombies and all, Ledezma had a better game IN MY FIC than he did in real life.

Final scores on those games, just fun: 9-6 Blue Jays, 11-3 Yankees. My bad, guys. I'm sorry.

I just switched to NESN to hear Tom Caron say, "You just never forget the first time Orsillo puts peanut butter in your underwear."

Uh HUH.

OH THAT IS FUCKING IT. I am fucking flying down to fucking Houston and lining up the Astros offense and kicking them each in the shins TWICE. And when I'm done with them, I'm going to round up the bullpen and kick them too.

They were up 2-0. For like a billion years. And then? The relief? Gives up a run. And then the closer? GIVES UP THREE OH MY GOD WHY DO ALL MY CLOSERS HATE ME SO MUCH???!!?

FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

[livejournal.com profile] offspeed tagged me, so you must all now endure a meme.

Total number of fandoms I like:

Oh, boy. Let me just check my webpage for all the fandoms I've written in in hopes of getting a semi-complete answer. Askewniverse, Buffy, Harry Potter, Everwood, Pirates of the Caribbean, Back to the Future, MLB RPS, the HercuXena verse. I've written in and read a zillion more, but those are the fandoms I would be most interested in right now.

My first fandom ever:

My first fanfic? At the age of ten, before I even knew what fanfic was, I wrote a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Ghostwriter crossover fic, and no, it didn't make any sense. My first fandom I read lots of if fic? Lois & Clark. The first fandom I actively participated in? Buffy.

My most recent fandom:

MLB RPS. If you didn't know that, you must be new. *g*

Five fandoms that currently mean a lot to me:

Baseball currently consumes my life (again, hi, nice to meet you), so all five answers are the same: MLB fic.

I tag:

[livejournal.com profile] drworm

Obviously, if any of you have already done this, you may disregard this and blame my sucky memory.
