La la la, I love when people think they're so great because they read REAL LITERATURE instead of Harry Potter . . .

Usually, I can let these things slide (because who cares about the negative things other people have to say?), but vicious scorn and condescension levelled at something millions of intelligent people love, which also happens to be very dear to my heart and has been so for over three years, just gets my knickers in a twist.

On an up note, I've already made an OotP icon, but I'm gonna wait a few days before I post it. Give people a chance to catch up, because some of them have . . . oh, what's that thingy? Where you do stuff and interact with other people? Oh yeah. Some people have lives and thus did not spend roughly eleven hours straight reading today.

Hee. Practically everyone I've talked to about the book (including a random woman who came up to me while I was reading in the Borders café today and asked if she could see the cover because she was so excited about reading her copy) has begged me not to spoil them. My answer of course, with slight variations, has been, "No, I would never do that to you!"

Then Anji IMs me and informs her that her girlfriend is making threats in re: Anji's future chances of getting any if I don't make with the info pronto. I thought that was the funniest damned thing. And I may or may not have told a lie or two, because my every instinct goes against spoiling people.
