Wow, how often do you get to see two complete games in one day?
Clement did it first for the Red Sox, with a final score of 5-2. And then Javy Vazquez went and pitched a complete game shut out against the Tigers. I'd be sad about this, but Vazquez was part of the trade that sent Randy Johnson to the Yankees. And the other night, Brad Halsey, also part of that trade, only gave one run to the Astros. Boy, that trade sure is working out for the Yankees. Any time Vazquez or Halsey does that well is a time to be happy, especially when Johnson does what he did yesterday. I kind of imagine the Diamondbacks organization pointing in the general direction of New York and laughing hysterically.
And the Astros also got shut-out, 2-0, and are now at 2-19 for away games, giving them the worst roadtrip record in the major league! Go Astros! Best bad roadtrip ever!
