catslash: (reason to stay)

So much for the consecutive posting streak. I just didn't have a chance to post yesterday. Oh, well. It would have been broken soon enough anyway, what with the moving into a non-Internet-having building and all. I'm happy enough having made it to a full month.

In happier news, it's official: Schilling will not be starting on Opening Day, and David Wells will. I've already discussed why the Schilling part makes me happy, and we all know by now that I love David Wells for no immediately quantifiable reason. Also, it's looking as though Schill will be on the DL for a couple weeks, which means a four-man rotation until at least the eighteenth. Also good - let's make damn sure Schilling has plenty of time to heal properly, please.

It also looks as though I will be able to watch both the Opening Day and the Home Opening games at Mom's, which is a relief. I'll survive baseball season without cable - there are plenty of bars I can go to, and the radio if I'm desperate - but I want badly to see both those games, and to tape the ring ceremony that will take place prior to Home Opening.

Note to self: Make friends with baseball fans who have cable. Alternate possibility: Get better-paying job that will allow self to afford both Internet and cable. As it stands, Internet access is my priority - once the dust settles, if I find I can afford to add another bill to rent, loan, and cell phone, Internet will come first.
