So I'm thinking of getting a cell phone. I'm leaning toward US Cellular because I just love those obnoxious Joanie Awards commercials, like, slum lately, Joan Cusack? because that's what my family has, but I'm open to suggestions and recommendations.
I'm looking for a reasonably priced plan, as I also have a monthly loan to pay off and have no idea what my finances will look like when I'm eventually on my own, but I also want to be able to use the phone as my primary phone once I am on my own. Because having a home phone when I have a cell phone would be silly. US Cellular has a "free nights and weekends" option, which I like, so I'd want to be able to have something like that too.
Any info you cell phone users can offer to help me make a decision would be most welcome.

When useing a cellphone as a primary phone, you can burn a surprising number of minutes. I have 300 day minutes a month, and it's not enough. The only reason I am able to keep from going over is that my boyfriend and a couple of my friends are also on Sprint and I have the whole "call any Sprint user free" shtick going on.
Oh, and read your contract carefully - some companies have really evil things they can do to you if you pay late or run over on minutes or whatever. :)
