So hey, LJ promotion: Ten dollars off a year of paid time IF you don't already have a paid account.

I have two paid accounts and have sent coupons along to a few RP accounts I've been vaguely considering buying accounts for, which leaves me with sixteen coupons for anyone who's been thinking of upgrading. Let me know if you want one!

Man, this promotion is stinky. I want the old one back, where you give an account paid time and it gets free userpics. >:( I used to renew all of my accounts in December and use the promo to buy paid time for friends, too. All of the accounts that I want paid accounts for already have them, so this year's promo does diddly squat for me.

If people out there somewhere who don't currently have a paid account want to pay for one, I have 50 or 60 coupons that I can't use!

The only journals that don't have a paid account are ones that don't need 'em. I guess I'll check and see if I have any that've lapsed and re-upgrade them while it's cheap, but... mleh.

Yeah, this one's kinda fail. And, as people pointed out in the comments in that post, a "gift" that your friend has to pay to use is the uberlame.

I find this one helpful for a couple of accounts, though I have no idea when the coupons expire and if they'll still be good when I have the money to be using them. The old one never did much for me, but a lot of people are pissed they aren't doing it.
