Today ruled.

First, I drank a whole bunch of Mountain Dew, which caused me to go from depressed (more on why in a bit) to hyperly happy.

Then, I sold a two hundred dollar winning scratch ticket to a regular who cashed it and then gave me twenty bucks.

Then, I went home with the vague notion of going to see a movie, and when I checked theatres and times, I discovered that The Movies on Exchange (which I've mentioned before as being an obscure, eclectic little theatre, the one that shows the tiny releases and documentaries) was showing Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Why? I don't know. But I went anyway, and I spent much of it thinking, "I can't believe I get to see this in a theatre." I'd seen it before, and loved it, and couldn't freaking believe that it was playing in a theatre. In Maine. You never see something like that happen in Maine. I love The Movies on Exchange.

So, awesome day. Even though, as a result of the sudden housing issue, I can no longer go to New York. I'm so disappointed about that, but it's just impossible now.

But. Dwelling on the good. Mountain Dew, which at one point caused me to fear my own watch! Twenty extra bucks! Eternal Sunshine! What a day.
