OMG LIVEJOURNAL IZ PASTEDE BACK ON YAY!!!! (Credit to [livejournal.com profile] nimori for the icon.)

I had NO IDEA how much of my online life revolved around LJ until I couldn't get to it. On the other hand, I sure had lots of free time. I spent, like, an hour trying to track down a particular article I sort of remembered reading because I couldn't just go to the post it had been pasted into. The best part is that I just discovered that I was chasing the wrong article the whole time. Apparently there was more than one article done about Princess A-Rod's tragic despair and WOE, like, shut up, A-Rod, even the Yankee fans don't care about you anymore.

*ahem* Anyway. I missed everyone and I missed wandering idly through various communities, and I really missed [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar, which I have totally gotten sucked into in just a week. This accounts for my sparsity of entries in the past few days. In case you care, I am playing Dianne from Shaun of the Dead and Brad from Huckabees and it is way fun and yes, you should come play. I've already persuaded [livejournal.com profile] manderspander to join.

Too bad it wasn't a sufficient distraction from writing a certain fic. By the way, guys? Don't write a fic to purge the muses, because it DOESN'T WORK and now my Jeter muse wants a sequel where he is nicer SHUT UP AND GET OUT OF MY HEAD OH GOD. *sigh*

In other news, I am buying only chicory coffee for the rest of my life. I made some for the first time this morning. I brewed it too weak and it is still strong enough to taste. This coffee exists for people like me, who need their coffee strong enough to get up and walk off on its own.

Heh. I just mentioned in Milliways crackchat that in America we are lazy and nuke mugs of water in order to make tea. And every Brit in the room went "OMGWTFBBQ!!!!!!!" Apparently nuking water to make tea is like the worst thing in the world you can do. Which, now that I've learned how to make proper tea (courtesy of Douglas Adams), I agree, but the strength of the reaction amused me immensely.
