(no subject)

watcher_shadow linked me to some Invader Zim fic, and there was a bit that made me laugh until I had to stifle myself in my sweatshirft for fear of waking anyone who might think that one-thirty in the morning is a time for sleeping.

This resulted in the following conversation:

catslash: Jhonen has never made me laugh as hard and long as that just did.
watcher_shadow: Poor Jhonen.
catslash: Jhonen will have to be satisfied with my inability to remember never to eat when I'm reading his comics.
watcher_shadow: ?
catslash: Have you ever read any of them?
watcher_shadow: No.
catslash: Well, that explains that. Okay, imagine very clearly the grossest Zim episode you can.
watcher_shadow: Oh god.
catslash: Now multiply by that approximately a thousand times, and add a paper-thin plot/excuse to horrify the reader. Oh, and more blood. Now try to eat a sandwich.
watcher_shadow: ...........
catslash: Zim is what happens when Jhonen is restrained by television rules of decency.
catslash: I'm not even kidding.
catslash: I know it sounds like a joke, but it's not.
watcher_shadow: Wow.
