Date: 2008-07-30 02:59 am (UTC)About thirty seconds. She just ran a tape measure around me just above my breasts, just below them, and right across them. I didn't even have to take my shirt off. It was completely painless. Then she gave me a sample bra in that size to try on and confirm it was correct (I took advantage of her offer to have a look and make sure it fit right, since I really had no idea what a proper fit was meant to look like, but of course that was completely voluntary), then she gave me a box of that size in all their various styles so I could try everything on without having to leave the dressing room. Then she showed me where the ones I liked were, so I could just pick what I wanted, pay, and leave. It was really great. Very helpful and as convenient as could be, and of course having the right bra size on is already proving more comfortable and much more attractive. Get a fitting. Modesty need not stand in your way. The woman who helped me was totally professional and it was about as embarrassing as buying socks.

Me too! I'm just as happy as anyone to mock the Hot Topic Mini-Gawths, and they certainly have their share of laughable merchandise, but the shirts are great. I've gotten shirts there for things I never thought I'd find t-shirts for. I think my best find is my Labyrinth shirt.
